sermonette: For the Love of God

Austin Del Castillo
Given 07-Dec-19; Sermon #1519s; 16 minutes

Description: (hide)

Just as Charles Dickens penned "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," so also there is a stark contrast between the insane times we live in and our incredible calling. While the governments and cultures of Jacob's offspring are succumbing to all manner of perversion and lawlessness, God has purposed that a relative handful of called-out ones, foreordained from before the foundation of the world, are to be prepared for privileged positions in His royal family. We are extremely special and of incalculable value to both God the Father and Jesus our Savior. At a spiritual level, we now have a type of "DNA" that no other humans have. We have both God the Father and His Son living in us. With the earnest payment of God's Holy Spirit, we are already members of God's Kingdom, though not yet fully spirit beings. In our current state, we are royalty, part of the highest Kingly Family in all creation, not just the universe but also the third Heaven. We can take great comfort in knowing who it is we really are and that the Father greatly values us.
