sermonette: Standards

Maintaining God's Standard to Grow Our Faith
Joseph B. Baity
Given 21-Mar-20; Sermon #1534s; 15 minutes

Description: (hide)

Standards govern the entire world, including the work of architects, electricians, plumbers, teachers, lawyers, mechanics, broadcasters, manufacturers and scientists; standards govern virtually everything we do, measure, buy, sell, or build. God commands that we routinely use accurate measurements and just standards (Proverbs 16:11). Without Godly standards, we have a world without ethics or morality. Progressive lawmakers and judges have legalized abortion and sodomy, reaping the curses of Deuteronomy 28. Sadly, modern Israel is adrift in a sea of uncertainty, rejecting all standards of morality. We live in a deteriorating world; even in the church, we are anxious and often struggle to walk in the faith. Following the example of Job, we must repent, letting go of the world, following our Spiritual Standard Bearer. Walking in faith requires spiritual standards (John 8:12; 12:36).
