summary: For God's chosen ones to come near to Him, they must be thoroughly cleansed inside and out. Self-affliction, enabled by fasting, creates humility-the only path to holiness. When we come before our Holy God to worship, we must humble ourselves, focus, and listen, letting Christ's mind be a part of us (lowering Himself from the highest position in the universe to be obedient, even to the point of death). Pride, on the other hand, is the shortcut to eternal death. God the Father does the calling and He choose each and every one of us to be together on the journey of humbleness that leads to holiness. We will truly offer ourselves as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1). We will 1.) always follow God's commands, 2.) submit to those in authority, 3.) trust God's ministers as they correct us, 4.) lower ourselves to truly think everyone else is better, 5.) never focus or talk about others sins or weaknesses, 6.) always focus about other's positive traits, and 7.) have faith that God the Father has placed each of us here and gives us different gifts, so that we can learn and grow together in His holy image.
